Life is beautiful but not everyone gets the priviledge to live a normal life. Many are not capable to face the harsh circumstances of life alone and build their future themselves. They need support at times for their well-being. In today's world money is the driving force and without it life is difficult to deal with. Many of the underpriviledged communities and population face extreme poverty and cannot even avail the basic necessities of life. For them life is tough and they lead a troublesome life with several hardships.
Manju, 35 years, is one of them who has faced several hardships in life because of the poor financial capacity of her family. She has 3 children: 2 sons and a daughter. Her husband is a daily wage labourer and earns a meagre income of Rs. 80-100/day. There are days when he cannot find work and is empty handed. Having 3 meals a day is a big thing for them. In such situation, nobody will want to have other issues to be taken care of. Unfortunately, Manju, had eye problems since last 6 months but was unable to do anything. Her eyesight was deteriorating everyday and she did not know whom to approach.
One fine day, she came to know about our Screening camp being organised in her village. She attended the camp and was diagnosed of cataract in her left eye. She was admitted in our base hospital and was successfully operated on 16th March, 2015. She was provided with medication. With two follow-up sessions now she can perfectly see like earlier and is very happy to do her work herself and take care of her family.
She and many like her expressed their sincere gratitude to people who understand their plight and support her in time of need. With the support of donors like you we have been able to restore vision of 250 cataract patients till now who are back to work and are extremely grateful for the support.
Thanking You
With Regards
