Not many get a second chance to live their life the way they want and visualise this beautiful world. You can relate to the situation more if you belong to a country where 40% of the population still lives below the poverty line. You can imagine when it is really difficult to earn 3 meals a day and support a big family. Jaswa, is few of the lucky ones who once again can see the world around her and can do her daily activities on her own without any support.
Until 13th February, 2015; she was entirely dependent on others for her daily chores as well. She was suffering from cataract since last 1.2 years but was helpless. Her life was full of darkness where no one was there to understand her, and support her. Her days were passing like ages with no motivation to live. Jaswa is a 75 year old widow. She lost her husband 6 years back. She belongs to Purnadih village of Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand, India. She is dependent on her sons for her livelihood who work hard; days and nights to feed the family. Her sons are a daily wage labourer and a farmer. There are nights when they sleep empty stomach with a new hope for the next day. Getting their mother treated for cataract was an impossible thing for them.
You - The donors have made it possible. Jaswa, attended the Village Screening camp being organised by us in her village and was diagnosed of cataract in her left eye. She was brought to the hospital and successfully operated for cataract. She can see clearly now and is extremely happy with the support. She and her family expressed their sincere gratitude to the donors and said " I never imagined that I will be able to see again. I thought my life will end like this. God sent you people to help me. I can see again now and bless you all for the support."
We were able to give her a second chance only with the support of people like you. Please keep supporting so that we can give a Second chance to many more like her.
Thanking You
