We are happy to present the Progress Report of our project and like to thank all our donors for constantly supporting us. Till date we have been able to restore eyesight of 212 cataract patients who would have otherwise gone blind without any aid. All the operated patients can see clearly now and are very happy with the kind support. All of them are back to their work and are taking better care of their family. They are no more dependent on other family members for their daily chores and can move freely and independently after their cataract surgery.
Ganesh, 60 years, belongs to Pahadpur village of Jarmundi block. He was finding it difficult to do his daily chores due to his poor sight. He lives by himself and there is no one to take care of him. He was leading a troublesome life until he visited the nearest Village Eye Screening camp being organised by us. He was diagnosed of cataract and was referred to the base hospital. He was successfully operated on 29th January, 2014 and can see clealry now. He makes baskets made of bamboo for his living. He is back to work now and has a sustainable income source after his improved vision. Ganesh lives alone as his wife is nomore and his daughter is happily married and stays with her in-laws. Ganesh says "I was struggling due to cataract since last 8 months but could not afford my treatment. I am happy to see again and take care of myself with the kind support."
We express our sincere gratitude to all our donors for helping us reach these people in need and supporting us in restoring their vision. We are hereby also sharing our current Annual Report for your kind perusal.
Please keep supporting us so that we can help and restore eyesights of more people in need.
Thanking You
With Regards
Shweta Sinha
