Clearing the clouds of cataracts
Respected Supporters and Well Wishers
Heartiest Greetings from NBJK!!
Most cataracts grow slowly, and occasionally the vision loss has actually occurred over a long time in one eye, but it is not noticed by the patient until the ‘good’ eye is covered accidently.” So there’s nothing like having your eyesight and receiving the gift of sight is a very special gift. We hope you find great comfort in knowing that your donations have improved the lives of others. We are committed to ensure that all cataract patients get the best quality eye treatment. Thus we regularly measure the visual outcomes being achieved by the patients who have been operated at our LNJP eye Hospital.
“Mori’s four years of suffering”
Mori, a man who faced so many difficulties due to his eye disease and sacrificed a lot, for taking care of his sick wife. He is 65 years old man lives in village Bhairabpur of Dumka district. He has three sons and two daughters. All are married. His sons are earning on daily basis in a town. Mori is a farmer and does farming on a small piece of land. His income from farming is hardly Rs 2000-2500 and sometimes he does not get the same. His wife is suffering from some disease from so many years. She is very weak. Most of his money he spends on her treatment. Due to her ill health, he was not paying attention to his health. He was also suffering from a cataract for four years. But due to lack of money, he was not going for the treatment even he was unable to do farming work properly. One day NBJK staff organised an eye camp in his village. He went there and told his problem to the camp organiser. He was diagnosed with a cataract. The camp organiser told him to come to LNJP eye hospital, Dumka. Mori went there and underwent free cataract surgery. He also got post medical treatment and spectacles. Now his vision is good. He is very thankful to Global Giving and donor for their generous support.
Of course, none of Operation Eyesight’s work could happen without your generosity. We are very thankful to all of you for your kind support.
