THANK YOU to everyone who continues to follow our work and the impact we are making together in local communities in Tanzania.
This quarter, our team once again visited Grandma Agatha - our "Solar Grandma" - in Gongali Village to see how she is doing and to continue encouraging and supporting her initiative.
Although we did not receive considerable donations for this activity during the quarter, we did not want the lack of external funding to stop our support. Using the local resources available to us, we continued to stand with Grandma Agatha and encourage her efforts to improve her livelihood through solar lanterns.
We are encouraged that the initiative we reported previously is still alive in the community. Grandma Agatha continues to keep some solar lanterns at her home, while a neighborhood shop helps make the products accessible to other community members.
For us, sustainability means more than making a one-time donation. It means returning, following up, encouraging, and continuing to support people even when external resources are limited. Our visit this quarter was therefore an important reminder that lasting community impact is built through relationships and consistent local commitment.
We remain grateful to Grandma Agatha for her courage and personal initiative. We hope that, with continued encouragement and future support from our GlobalGiving friends and other well-wishers, her small solar initiative will continue to grow and benefit both her family and the wider Gongali community.
