2,660 Girls Reclaim Their Dignity

Mary Completes her P7 Exams with pride

Before examination day in Northern Uganda, thousands of Primary Seven (P7) girls face a silent crisis. Without sanitary wear, a period means shame, missed classes, or dropping out right before the final exams that define their futures.

Today, 2,660 young girls sat for their P7 national exams with confidence, dignity, and clean supplies.

With your support we delivered sanitary pad packs to 2,660 P7 candidate girls and conducted Menstrual Health Education for the whole community:

We are proud

  • All 2,660 candidate girls stayed in school to sit for their P7 exams.
  • Classroom attendance and participation surged as fear of staining vanished.
  • Boys evolved from teasing classmates to supporting girls' education, while parents began prioritizing menstrual hygiene at home.

"Before Lucky Girl pads came, every period felt like a punishment. I used old rags that leaked, and I missed so many mock exams I almost gave up. Receiving pads and knowing menstruation is normal changed everything. I sat for my P7 exams without fear."

— Mary (14), Primary Seven Candidate

While 2,660 girls wrote their exams with pride, thousands of younger girls entering P6 and P7 face this exact fear today.

No girl should have to trade her education for her dignity. Stigma and poverty don't wait, and neither can we.

Donate Today to Keep Girls in School because no girl should miss her future because of her period.

Thank You
