Dear HOPE Supporter,
Thank you for your continued support of providing women in need with safe pregnancy and delivery care. I wanted to introduce to you Rojina, who is having her third baby but receiving antenatal care for the first time:
Rojina Akhter is twenty-five years old and expecting her third baby. She has not received antenatal care services for her past two pregnancies as she and her husband feared the cost.Friends and family told her they did not know the need for the services and she would be fine without them. She became aware of the services HOPE is providing to pregnant women through a friend who is also enrolled in the program and fortunately, lives in close proximity to the hospital and is able to travel with minimal obstacles. Thus far the doctor has expressed to her the importance of antenatal care, her birth options, and the schedule for her visits to HOPE Hospital. She feels educated on her pregnancy and is now able to make informed decisions regarding her and her baby's health.
