Dear friends and supporters;
Because of your generosity, we were able to offer to our students an academic experience that only the very elite and most expensive schools offer in Niger Republic: a field trip for academic enrichment.
On February 09, 2012, Staff members and teachers of International Academic of Niamey (IAN) organized a first field trip taking IAN students to the Niger Republic's largest rice mill, Société Riz du Niger (Rice Company of Niger), located 20 miles from the IAN site. The purpose of the trip was to provide students with experiences outside their everyday activities.
At the site, the Director of Rice Company of Niger and his agents guided students through the process and different stages involved on transforming rice from initial stage into a finished product. Teachers and staff members were very pleased with the type of constructive and pertinent questions that the students asked to the Director and his agents.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank you again for your support. We are also inviting you to continue your support in order to meet the school's 2011-2012 annual operating cost of $40,000.00.
Sincerely,
Dodé Ackey
