Provide quality education to 5000 youth in Panama

Since celebrating our 10th anniversary earlier this year, Enseña por Panamá has continued working to expand educational opportunities for students across Panama. Our focus remains on developing committed, capable educational leaders who can help address educational inequities and contribute to lasting improvements in the education system.

Supporting Teachers, Reaching Thousands of Students

In 2026, 48 teachers have been part of our Educational Leadership Program, collectively reaching 5,956 students. Through their work in schools and communities, these educators are helping students access better learning opportunities while strengthening their own leadership and teaching practices.

We believe that improving education requires more than individual effort: it requires investing in the people who work directly with students and supporting them as they develop the skills, knowledge, and leadership needed to drive meaningful change.

Exploring New Pathways into Education

We are also taking steps to explore how professionals from diverse backgrounds can contribute to strengthening education in Panama.

Through a pilot initiative, we are testing new ways to engage professionals who bring different experiences, skills, and perspectives to the education sector. Our goal is to explore how this talent can complement existing efforts to strengthen teaching capacity, support educators, and improve learning opportunities for students.

Building on this initial experience, we aim to expand the initiative to include ten additional professionals. This next stage represents an opportunity to learn how to attract and develop a broader range of talent committed to educational equity, while exploring new approaches to addressing the challenges facing Panama’s education system.

As we move forward, Enseña por Panamá remains committed to developing educational leaders, strengthening the teaching profession, and expanding opportunities for students who face the greatest barriers to educational success.
