Diwali is approaching

By Ilakkiaarasi | Fundraising Executive

Diwali is probably the most popular and well known of all Indian festivals. With different styles of celebration, rituals and traditions in different parts of India, this festival is well loved and welcomed in every Indian People. And every child is happy for Diwali. But Diwali is more about the spirit of giving than receiving. There are a lot of children who would love to celebrate Diwali the way we do in our homes.

In this world, every child can see the spark of light and feel the happiness of seeing the flourishing colors of crackers except the visually challenged. But they too really want to celebrate the festival of lights by hearing the sound of crackers.

Touching and hearing are the only two ways, a visually challenged can feel and enjoy. Diwali, a festival by which one can share their happiness and this is the right time for it. This drive helped us to raise funds by $636. Thanks to all the philanthropists who gave hands to raise this much.

But this is not sufficient and it can be known by all. Charity sees the need, not the cause. So we look forward to raising more for this cause. As always, we, along with GlobalGiving, will do our best in reaching out to generous donors across the Globe and will strive to bring happiness on the face of each of our beneficiaries.
