lndian Association for the Blind (lAB),based in Madurai, South India, is a well-known non-profit organization working at the grassroots level for the education, employment and rehabilitation of people with visual challenges. It was established in 1985 by visually challenged activist Late Mr. S.M.A.Jinnah and a group of like-minded visually challenged people to provide comprehensive education, employment and rehabilitation opportunities for socio-economically disempowered visually challenged children and adults with a special focus on those living in rural areas.
We are happy to inform that we have raised donations worth $246 and have benefited almost 25 students. It has been really useful to us in providing our children with new clothes and fire crackers. Thanks to you, they were able to celebrate a grand Diwali. It is really a dream come true for them because they are all from rural backgrounds and each day is a struggle for them. The donations we have been receiving from donors through GlobalGiving have been highly beneficial. The timely help from your side has proved very useful to us.
We look forward to raising more donations for our projects. Connecting with philanthropists all over the globe through GlobalGiving gives us immense pleasure and satisfies the goals we operate on. Our children will get the confidence and strength to face life independently.
