Project Report | Feb 14, 2014
No Network Delay ; +23480SRHR-INFO is the Number to Call

By Fadekemi Akinfaderin Agarau | Executive Director

EVA continues to reach thousands of adolescents and young people with sexual reproductive health information through an innovative mobile approach.

Tremendous success has been recorded in the past few months. EVA counselors have improved their strategy to get more visibility for the Mobile Solution project. Some of the activities includes; a school outreach program targeting in-school-youths directly with information about the mobile numbers to call, for free counseling and Sexual Reproductive Health information. They have also continued engaging young people  through a monthly competition called “My Answer”, where young people get incentives such as mobile recharge call cards  for answering the question of the month correctly.

This has translated to an increase in numbers of calls and test messages received from young people either asking questions about their sexual health or answering questions about their sexual health. This is an innovative strategy to keep engaging more adolescent and young people

Here is what some of the beneficiaries have to say about the project;

A 15 year old male from Kaduna northern Nigeria said 'Thank you  for your answers of yesterday am very grateful'

'Thank you  for all the advise you have given to people, i have learnt a lot from it, 18 years i'm a female from abuja

Just so you know, all of this wouldn't have been possible without your kind and consistent donations. The future of our world are young people and we must not relent in bridging the gap and providing the necessary support to improve adolescent health and development.
