The hit of the earthquake on April 25,2015 was not so strong in Khandbari area as it was in Kathmandu. So although some the houses have been cracked in Khandbari, there is not report of casualty or death till now.
The building, where the orphanage has been running, has been minor cracked in some parts. Since It has been made of strong stone and mud and its foundation is also so very strong. Now we see it is out of danger.
The local government has warned the local people to spend their night safely outside the house for 72 hours. The people of Khandbari area spent their last night outside the house in the open lawn. The kids from the orphanage also spent their night in the hut of the yard.
Now we have a volunteer Lisa from the USA. She has been helping the teaching kids to speak English since April 15, 2015. She has been very helpful to kids. She has also been learning Napoli language and culture from the kids.
We are very much pleased to share you good news about the kids' educational progress. Among kids Rabin stood the fifth in grade 9 a Sangita in grade six. This Kinari was also able to pass the exam and promoted grade six
We like to request to share our fund raising program among your network, family and friends.
Thank you very much for all your support till now.
Warm regards
Tejanath
