Global giving has revolutionized the lives of 12 children living at the Child Welfare Home Khandbari. After SESF received funds from the organization, we have been able to feed the children three times a day. Their old school uniforms have been replaced by new ones. They are very happy to own two pairs of uniforms. The cook mother no longer uses firewood for cooking due to health and safety concerns. She now cooks with a gas stove top for the children.
The orphanage now owns two goats and five hens. The goats are growing day by day. The three cocks have started crowing. The children wake up as soon as the cocks crow in the morning and start doing their homework. The hens are bigger and their eggs are going to hatch soon. The children enjoy feeding chickens and the goats.
With the money that has been raised, we have been able to lease a piece of land surrounding the house. The cook mother works in the vegetable garden during the day. She has planted green leaves, carrots, chilies, pumpkins, ladies fingers, and other varieties of vegetables. The children help her plant the vegetables in their leisure time.
SESF committee would like to thank our donors' for their valuable donations and we hope that they will remember our kids and our organization fondly in the future.
