During the holy month of Ramadan, accessing regular and nutritious food posed a severe challenge for thousands of orphans and orphaned families living in chronic instability across Türkiye, Syria, Gaza, Yemen, Lebanon, and the Rohingya refugee camps in Bangladesh. Our "Iftar Meals for Orphans" project directly answered this critical need by delivering warm, nutritious iftar meals daily. Thanks to your support, this timely intervention removed the daily uncertainty of how these vulnerable children would break their fast. By securing reliable access to wholesome food, we alleviated immediate financial hardships for struggling households, ensuring that orphaned children approached the iftar hour with a sense of security, dignity, and care.
Beyond providing immediate physical nourishment, this initiative served as a vital emotional anchor for young minds growing up in conflict and disaster zones. Sharing a warm meal during a spiritually significant time of year fostered a powerful sense of community solidarity and belonging, reassuring these resilient families that they were neither isolated nor forgotten. These simple yet deeply meaningful acts of care built psychological resilience and strengthened emotional well-being within communities enduring long-term displacement. We express our deepest gratitude to our GlobalGiving sponsors; your compassion transcended borders, transforming hunger into hope and bringing profound comfort to orphans when they needed it most.
Thank you for your generous support!
