Provide Hearing Aids for 25 Deaf Children

The “Provide Hearing Aids for 25 Deaf Children” project by Elite Star Foundation aims to improve the lives of 25 deaf or hard-of-hearing children from low-income families by providing professional hearing assessments, properly fitted hearing aids, batteries, therapy, caregiver and teacher training, and educational support. The project has a total fundraising goal of US$20,000. According to the current GlobalGiving project information, US$1 has been raised from 2 donors, leaving US$19,999 still required, representing approximately 0.005% of the total funding target.

At this stage, the project remains primarily in its fundraising phase, with financial resources still significantly below the level required to begin full implementation for all 25 children. The available funding is intended to support key activities, including hearing screening and assessments, hearing-aid purchase and fitting, batteries, speech therapy, caregiver and teacher training, sign-language instruction, academic tutoring, and follow-up monitoring. The project budget is structured to allow contributions of different sizes to support specific components, with US$100 contributing toward a quality hearing aid and fitting, US$250 supporting hearing-aid fitting, batteries and educational tutoring for one child, and US$500 providing comprehensive support for one child.

The financial priority for the next phase is therefore to increase donor support and mobilize sufficient resources to move from fundraising into direct service delivery. Reaching the US$20,000 target would enable Elite Star Foundation to provide the planned integrated hearing-care and educational support to the targeted children, helping reduce communication barriers and improving their opportunities for learning and social inclusion.
