Dear Patron, Namaste!
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) successfully conducted a Summer Relief Programme to protect 500 underprivileged children living on the streets and in slums from the severe heat and risk of heat stroke. The initiative was implemented across 20 slum communities, where children face extreme temperatures with little access to basic protective clothing and essential resources.
Each child received a cotton T-shirt, colourful slippers, and a protective polo cap, helping them stay safer and more comfortable during the scorching summer. To provide immediate relief from the intense heat, the children were also treated to cold ice cream, refreshing sherbet, and food packets containing biscuits, fruit juice, chocolates, wafers, and other nutritious snacks.
One of the beneficiaries was 12 year old Pooja (name changed), who lives in a roadside slum with her widowed mother and two younger siblings. With her family struggling to meet even their daily needs, Meena had been walking barefoot on the hot roads and wearing the same worn out clothes throughout the summer. Receiving a new T-shirt, slippers, cap, and refreshments filled her with joy. Holding her gifts close, she smiled and said, “Today I feel like someone remembered me.” Her words beautifully capture the hope and dignity.
On behalf of all 500 children, their families, and the entire RSKS India team, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering trust and generosity. Your contribution has done far more than distribute essential items it has protected vulnerable children from the harsh summer, restored their confidence, and reminded them that they are loved and valued. Together, we are creating healthier, happier childhoods and inspiring brighter futures for those who need our support the most.
With heartfelt gratitude and warm regards,
Team RSKS India
