BMK (Family Food Assistance) from DKM Al-Falah Supports Public Kitchens for Residents Affected by Floods and Landslides in Central Tapanuli
Central Tapanuli, December 17, 2025 — BMK (Family Food Assistance) from DKM Al-Falah provides tangible support to residents affected by floods and landslides in the Central Tapanuli region through operational support for public kitchens.
One of the distribution points is located in Neighborhood I, Sihaporas, Pandan District, an area that has been severely affected by floods and landslides. The disaster has caused a number of residents' homes to be damaged or even washed away by the floodwaters.
Through this public kitchen, BMK DKM Al-Falah distributes ready-to-eat food aid to meet the daily food needs of affected residents. The food is not only intended for survivors, but also for volunteers who are still working in the field.
What is special is that this public kitchen also involves local women whose homes were flooded. Their involvement represents empowerment amid difficult conditions, while also helping to revive economic activities and spirits among residents post-disaster.
This BMK program from DKM Al-Falah is expected to strengthen the affected community, bring warmth, and reignite hope during the recovery process following the floods and landslides in Central Tapanuli.
