Happy New Year! On behalf of the entire organization, I want to personally thank everyone who has supported CriticaLink this year, especially those who contributed during the Global Giving "December Challenge."  We are very excited to announce that thanks to your generous donations, we raised over $6,000, surpassing the target we needed to become a permanent part of the Global Giving database!

As many of you know, we officially launched CriticaLink in Dhaka, Bangladesh on November 2014. We had a very exciting year in 2015 and are looking forward to many things to come in 2016! Just a few highlights to share with you from this past year.

Awards

  • Winner of the National App Award in Health (Bangladesh)
  • Winner of the United Nations World Summit Award in Health
  • Founder Jennifer Farrell selected as a White House Emerging Global Entrepreneur

Measurements of Impact

  • Number of Patients Treated: 572
  • Number of First Responders Trained: 1866
  • Number of Doctors trained as Instructors: 25
  • Number of University Chapters: 14
  • Mobile app available in Android & iOS

We did a lot of building in 2015 to grow our volunteer pool and start working toward our goals of expansion in 2016. We are really excited to announce that we will launch CriticaLink in South Africa in February 2016! We are partnering with a non-profit called Emergency First Aid Responders (EFAR) and will connect their thousands of volunteers through our mobile app and technical platform. It will be our first launch outside of Bangladesh and will hopefully show how CriticaLink can be scaled and implemented anywhere in the world.

Thank you for helping us kick off a great start to 2016, we look forward to updating you on our progress as the year goes on.
