Introduction
Dear Friends and Supporters,
Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and accepted. Yet in North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo, years of armed conflict and repeated displacement have left thousands of orphaned children without even the most basic necessities, including proper clothing.
Our project, Provide Clothing for Orphans in North Kivu, was created to restore dignity to these vulnerable children by providing clean, new, age-appropriate clothing. While the project has not yet begun its field activities, important preparatory work is underway to ensure an effective and sustainable implementation.
We are deeply grateful to every supporter who believes in this mission and to GlobalGiving for making it possible to connect this project with compassionate people around the world.
Humanitarian Context
The humanitarian situation in North Kivu remains one of the most severe in Africa. Continued armed conflict, forced displacement, and widespread poverty have left countless children without parental care and struggling to meet their most basic needs.
For many orphaned children, the absence of suitable clothing is more than a material hardship. It often leads to discrimination, loss of self-confidence, limited school participation, and social exclusion. Restoring dignity begins with meeting these essential needs.
Project Goal
The project aims to provide new clothing for orphaned children living at the FED Orphan Center in Goma, helping them regain dignity, improve their well-being, and participate confidently in school and community life.
Beyond distributing clothing, the initiative seeks to strengthen community solidarity and encourage long-term support for vulnerable children throughout North Kivu.
Progress to Date
Although distributions have not yet started, the project has entered its preparation phase.
Current progress includes:
Project implementation is scheduled to begin in November 2025, following completion of all preparatory activities.

A Message to Our Donors
Today, the need remains urgent.
Thousands of orphaned children in North Kivu continue to live without adequate clothing, often facing rejection, shame, and isolation simply because they lack something many of us take for granted.
Your generosity can change that.
By supporting this project, you are not simply donating clothes—you are restoring confidence, protecting children's dignity, and reminding every child that they are seen, valued, and loved.
No gift is too small. Every donation brings us closer to our goal of US$7,000 and closer to the day when every child at the FED Orphan Center receives clean, new clothing and renewed hope for the future.
Please stand with us. Share this project with your family, friends, and community.
Together—with the continued support of GlobalGiving and caring donors around the world—we can transform lives, one child at a time.
Thank you for giving hope where it is needed most.
