New clothes: New Smile
Don Bosco Veedu Society provides shelter for street children, rescued from the railway station or bus station. Their appreance and dressing style are poor. At the time of rescue they may not be having good clothes to wear, due to their life events.
New clothes: New Smile program formulated for helping the children to recieve atleast a set of new clothes. The most celebrated festival in the state of Kerala was onam. Durring the festive of onam, usually people do buy a set of new pair of clothes. Don Bosco veedu society as part of the onam celebration, provided new pair of clothes of 15 street children.
A boy named Jagadeesh, who was rescued from child labour mentioned that till the date he never had a good pair of cloth. He was from Rajastan, India, there his family always use old clothes which they buy from the second hand shop. He mentioned that the smell of new pair of cloth feel comfortable.
Likewise many of them in the centre keepup their good smile, when they recieves new pair of clothes. We would like to appreciate the efforts of our donors who helped our children to wear a set of colourful dress.
