Don Bosco Veedu Society's Act of Compassion

By Saji Mon | Director

In response to the severe flooding in Trivandrum, Kerala, Don Bosco Veedu Society donated 300 essential clothing items to children and women affected by the disaster. This act of love and care aimed to provide immediate relief and support to the vulnerable segments of the population hit hardest by the heavy rains.

Mr. Emmanuel Silas, a dedicated staff member of Don Bosco Veedu Society, personally delivered the clothing items to a volunteer from the Karunya Self Help Group in Thumba, Trivandrum. The Karunya Self Help Group, known for its community service, ensured the efficient distribution of these items to those in need.

Additionally, the Don Bosco Veedu Society’s disaster relief team played a crucial role in helping the affected community cope with the aftermath of the flood. They provided assistance and resources to mitigate the impact of the sudden and severe flooding, offering both practical help and emotional support to those affected.

This collaborative effort not only provided physical comfort through the distribution of clothing but also reinforced the community's resilience. The support extended by the disaster relief team further aided the community in recovering from the flood's immediate and long-term effects.

The Don Bosco Veedu Society remains committed to aiding communities in times of crisis. This donation and the subsequent relief efforts highlight our dedication to compassion and service, embodying the spirit of solidarity and care that defines our mission.
