It is summer vacation and it is time when there is more flow of children into our shelter. This is due to the fact that children are free at home and there is insufficient montoring of children at home. Often children become victims of family issues which when they are in school they need not face so often as they are out of home.
Another category of chidlren are those who have been placed in children's homes and many of the homes close for holidays. Some chidlren cannot be sent home as it would be difficult to trace them back and some of them do not have homes. Such chidlren get a home away from home experience with summer camp at our shelter.
So it is vacation time with fun and frolic for our kids. They need to be provided gifts and of course new clothes. Thank you guys for remembering our kids this holidays too. Let us bring more smiles on them with more generosity.
