In Kafr Camp in northern Syria, where thousands of displaced families continue to endure harsh humanitarian conditions, children face daily struggles amid food shortages and the rising cost of living. Among them is young Farid, who lives with his parents and three siblings in a fragile tent that lacks many of life’s basic necessities. Every day, the family struggles to secure even the simplest meals.
Thanks to the support of donors through GlobalGiving, we were able to deliver fresh bread to Farid’s family. While bread may seem like a simple form of assistance, for this family it represented safety, dignity, and relief during an incredibly difficult time. It was not only food—it was a powerful reminder that they are not alone, and that compassionate people across the world continue to stand beside them.
