Long Distances Limit Midwives' Access to Mothers

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank you for your support toward the Provide Bicycles to 50 Rural Nigerian Midwives project. Your contribution shows care for mothers and newborns in underserved communities. However, the donations received so far are not enough to begin the planned distribution, and more support is needed.

Across many rural areas, midwives continue to walk long distances to reach pregnant women. These journeys delay care and reduce the number of mothers they can attend to each day.

Without timely support, women face increased risks during pregnancy, childbirth, and after delivery.

This project is designed to provide 50 bicycles to midwives, helping them travel faster, carry essential supplies, and respond more quickly to emergencies.

With the right support, more mothers and newborns can receive timely care, improving safety during childbirth.

We are grateful for the support already received and remain hopeful that additional contributions will make it possible to begin this project and reach communities in need.
