Bedding for 300 visually challenged children
By Pooja | Communication Manager
lndian Association for the Blind (lAB) is a well-known non-profit organisation based in South India. Here, we work towards providing education, employment, training and rehabilitation facilities for the visually challenged youths from rural areas. It was established in 1985 by the visually challenged activist Late Mr. S.M.A.Jinnah and a group of like-minded visually challenged people who gave their full support in all his endeavours. Till date, more than 11200 youths have been benefited by us and they now hold prestigious positions in society.
For this project, we have received donations from 5 donors till date. The total amount raised is $200. With this amount, we were able to provide our visually challenged students with suitable and sufficient bedding.
We are very grateful for the support received and will be happy for receiving this from kindhearted peoples. It would also be very supportive if we receive the timely assistance, care and guidance from philanthropists who are looking for a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the visually challenged from rural backgrounds. With the donations for this project, we will be able to purchase and provide our children with new bedding which will help in increasing their concentration power and enable them to have a good sleep, which will in turn help in rejuvenating their body and mind.

For this project, we have received donations from 5 donors till date. The total amount raised is $200. With this sum, we have been able to take our children closer to their dream of having their own comfortable bedding.
We would be truly grateful if we receive more support for this project in future by way of more donations. We seek the support of more philanthropists to provide new, individual bedding facilities for our beneficiaries. A majority of these children are from rural areas who have not had the basic privilege of sleeping on a good bed with good blankets and pillows. Through this project, we want to give them whatever it needs for a peaceful sleep. It will help enhance their concentration.
