Helpers Social Development Foundation is an initiative founded to support under privilege children in Nigeria. In the months of April to June, we are able to support school children through the support from our donors and partners. Throughout the month of June, we did not receive any donation on the GlobalGiving platform. Having known that GlobalGiving is a reliable and secured platform for donors to reach out to millions of people to solve their pressing needs. We appeal for well-meaning organizations and individuals to donate to us to eradicate the challenges our children face to acquire education. We believe that no child can progress without education because education gives freedom. Things we achieved from April to June:
1. We planted 250 trees in public schools without trees.
2. We screened school children in many public schools for Tuberculosis disease to reduce the spread of the disease. . We refer anyone with the disease to a nearby hospital for free medical care through our partner - Carita Foundation Nigeria.
3. We donated school supplies to 87 pupils in public schools in Enugu State.

Touching Children's Lives

We at Helpers Social Development Foundation (HSDF) thank you for your generous donation. Your generous donation has enabled us to give a helping hand to unreached children in need in Enugu. Your generosity has given hope for a brighter future for children in need.
The summary of how children's lives were impacted positively on the 27th of February 2024, your generosity offered school supplies to six children at Havilah View School, Enugu. The high rate of inflation in Nigeria has affected the parent’s inability to provide learning materials to their children.
The mission of Helpers Social Development Foundation (HSDF) is to see a society where every child has access to quality education irrespective of their gender or religion. The school supplies such as textbooks and learning materials will serve them for one academic year.
One of the beneficiaries; Janet is passionate about learning but her parents do not have the resources to provide for her educational needs. The funds we received on GlobalGiving enabled us to provide educational needs for Janet and other pupils who needed learning materials they needed to stay in school for one academic year.
