Provide a loving home for orphans in Kenya

There are very few places in the world like the Lewa Children’s Home. Everyone who – like me - has had the chance of setting foot there, has come out of it transformed. Whether it is the natural beauty of the surroundings, the delicious meals cooked by Phyllis or the children’s laughter always echoing in the distance, Lewa has the power to lift your soul.

At the end of the day, that’s what Lewa feels like: Home.

I've just came back from the Lewa Children's Home and I thought about you a lot while I was there. You see, if it weren't for you, Joy might not have a loving home where she can be the exhuberant and happy child she is. Brothers Wilson and Samuel might not have stayed together and received the special care and education they need. Elisabeth would probably not be allowed to just play after her homework is done, like any normal child should. 

Thanks to you, Phyllis and her team provide these children who came from the most desperate situations, with a balanced life, where they can feel safe and loved and grow up healthy and happy. 

The highlight of my trip was when I showed the children photos of previous visits that I and other colleagues and volunteers have gathered through the years. They were so excited about seeing themselves on the TV screen; they couldn't wait to tell their teachers the next day in school. We were all laughing so hard, it was difficult to put everybody to sleep that night.

I just wanted to tell you a bit about my trip and share these memories with you and I hope you understand how much you are a part of this. Without your support, we couldn't care for all of them.
