Thanks donors for your regular commitment to this project. Thanks to your donations and to other FAVL donors, we have been able to do two book purchases in the last few months. In November, 150,000 FCFA (about $100) were spent on childrens books that were distributed to libraries in northern Burkina Faso provinces of Bam and Sanmatenga. In December 150,000 FCFA (about $300) was spent on purchases of books for Bougounam community library also in northern Burkina Faso. Receipt and photo of books for the Bougounam library purchase are below. Receitp for November will be posted later this week.
FAVL continues to operate 34 community libraries in Burkina Faso. Our latest December 2017 newsletter is available here. In the coming months of 2018, we will continue to supply libraries in our network with new books, as fuding permits. We are also producing 16 more photo books for distribution in the libraries.
