Many adolescent girls in Pakistan miss school and face health risks due to a lack of basic hygiene supplies. This project will provide 1,000 hygiene kits to vulnerable girls, including sanitary pads, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, and other essential hygiene items. The project will promote menstrual health, improve personal hygiene, protect dignity, and help girls stay healthy and continue their education.
Adolescent girls in remote government schools across Pakistan face significant challenges in maintaining proper personal and menstrual hygiene. Many come from low-income families and cannot afford basic hygiene supplies such as sanitary pads, soap, toothpaste, and shampoo. In addition, there is very limited awareness of proper hygiene and menstrual health due to cultural stigma, lack of education, and inadequate school-based health programs.
This project will provide 1,000 hygiene kits to adolescent girls in remote government schools, ensuring they have essential hygiene supplies for daily and menstrual care. It will also conduct hygiene awareness sessions to educate girls on personal hygiene, menstrual health, and disease prevention, improving their health, confidence, school attendance, and overall well-being.
The project will improve the health, dignity, and confidence of adolescent girls by promoting lifelong hygiene practices and better menstrual health management. Increased awareness and access to hygiene supplies will reduce school absenteeism, lower the risk of preventable infections, and empower girls to continue their education. The knowledge gained will also be shared with families and communities, creating lasting improvements in hygiene behaviors.
