Sharks Are Important Too

Hello,

We are thrilled to share an update on the impactful project you generously supported. Your contributions are making a tangible difference in safeguarding our oceans and marine wildlife across Africa.

This project began in the Seychelles and has since expanded across Africa. Our primary focus is on creating sustainable, long-term research and awareness initiatives to protect ocean ecosystems.

Our team collaborates with local African communities, training and inspiring them to actively participate in marine conservation. We encourage individuals to become researchers or engage in outreach work, educating their peers and community members about critical ocean issues. We currently have run out of funding so our priority for the foreseeable future is fundraising for this project but we will remain to keep promoting our work across South Africa, Mozambique and Seychelles

Locals fully engage in marine conservation efforts, finding employment and contributing to monitoring programs. Qualified SCUBA divers equipped with underwater survey skills can collaborate with local bodies. Our initiative fosters awareness of pollution issues within communities. By empowering locals, we create a ripple effect of positive change.

Thank you for being part of this transformative journey. Together, we protect our oceans—one community at a time.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Lloyd
