CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR EVERY GIRL

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

The challenges facing adolescent girls in rural communities remain significant, but together we are making progress. During this reporting period, our project continued supporting girls whose education is threatened by a lack of menstrual hygiene resources and limited reproductive health services.

Many beneficiaries come from households struggling with poverty, making sanitary products unaffordable. Without support, girls often miss school regularly, increasing their risk of falling behind academically and eventually dropping out.

In addition to distributing menstrual hygiene supplies, the project delivered educational sessions that addressed reproductive health, personal hygiene, and life skills. These sessions provided safe spaces where girls could ask questions, receive accurate information, and build confidence.

Community leaders and teachers also participated in awareness activities aimed at reducing stigma and promoting supportive learning environments. Their involvement has helped strengthen local commitment to girls' education and well-being.

The impact is evident in improved attendance, increased confidence, and stronger engagement in school activities. Girls who once viewed menstruation as an obstacle are now better equipped to manage their health while continuing their education.

Thank you for helping create opportunities where they are needed most. Your support is ensuring that vulnerable girls have the resources and knowledge necessary to stay in school, protect their health, and build a future filled with possibility.
