For many girls in rural communities, menstruation remains a major barrier to education. During this reporting period, our project continued providing menstrual hygiene supplies and reproductive health education to vulnerable schoolgirls who would otherwise miss classes every month.
Many families are struggling with rising living costs and are unable to afford sanitary pads. As a result, girls often stay home during their menstrual cycles, falling behind academically and risking eventual dropout. The recent reduction in external support for adolescent health programs has further widened the gap, leaving schools with fewer resources to address girls' needs.
Through community outreach sessions, school-based mentorship, and menstrual hygiene awareness activities, girls gained practical knowledge on managing their health safely and confidently. Teachers and community leaders also participated in discussions aimed at reducing stigma surrounding menstruation.
One student shared that before receiving support, she missed several days of school each month because she lacked sanitary materials. Today, she attends classes consistently and feels more confident participating in school activities.
While significant challenges remain, the impact of your support is visible in improved attendance, increased confidence, and stronger awareness of reproductive health among girls. Every hygiene kit distributed represents more than a supply package—it represents dignity, opportunity, and hope.
Thank you for helping girls remain in school, protect their health, and continue pursuing their dreams despite difficult circumstances.
