Project Report | Nov 7, 2023
Protect The Jaguars

By Vuyo Mngomezulu | Personal Assistant to the CEO

Introduction

From 2001 to 2019, a staggering 700,000 square kilometres of the Amazon in Brazil, the home of these magnificent cats, has been lost. The rate of destruction is alarming, and we have only one opportunity to act - now. Your donation today can make a difference for tomorrow.

Report

The past few months have been bustling with activity here in Latin America! As we wrap up the first year of our project after relocating from Costa Rica, it’s been all hands on deck to get everything up and running. We’re delighted to report that our motion camera traps are installed, and we’ve started gathering the crucial data needed to help safeguard these incredible cats.

While the project is relatively inexpensive to operate, as our staff lead a simple life in the rainforest, the costs of camera traps and batteries are rising with the cost of living. We now have to source these items from the United States. Our goal for this year is to fund an additional five cameras, and we’re hopeful we can achieve it!

However, we’ve noticed a slowdown in donations recently. We understand that times are challenging, but we want to emphasize how crucial your support is to our mission. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a significant impact.

In fact, a donation of just $25 can fund the batteries we need for our camera traps to help protect jaguars.

Thank you for your unwavering support and belief in our cause. We look forward to continuing this journey with you.
