The increasing of population with increasing of deforestation while reforestation and afforestation are not taken very serious ways to increase the number of trees is the big problem. From the light statistics I can find we can have an increase of 1,000,000,000 trees every 10 to 14 years equal to an average of about 83,333,333 trees per year due to the average estimate of the world population increase in 2011, 2023 and 2037 if there will be planting trees comparing to the increase of people.
Deforestation is increasing in Tanzania more worsted in some region like Kigoma, Katavi, Tabora, Simiyu, Geita and Mwanza in spite of the rural communities under research depend mostly upon natural resources for their livelihood. This is fueled by human activities like charcoal burning, burning bushes, overgrazing, animal hunting and tobacco cultivation. These activities devastated the environment leading to climatic change and prolonged drought. These circumstances call for urgent solutions.
Reforestation and afforestation as both planting of trees is highly required to be implemented by going out to the people, sensitize, train, and facilitate them to plant and grow trees and shrubs to make forest garden at their homes, gardens, and fields. Capacity building of citizen should be provided through forest garden training to help them participate and became aware in mitigate and recover from food insecurities, natural resources loss and poverty. We aim at planting about 1,000,000 trees in Mwanza in Tanzania mainland based on cost of approximate USD ($)1 per each tree. We aim at implementing the project for 5 years. This project instead of helping in environment conservation, also aim at helping about 1,250 direct beneficiaries and 2,500 indirect beneficiaries to make a total of 3,750 beneficiaries.
