Happy Thanksgiving and Holidays to all our friends, supporters, and volunteers!
Darfur Women Network (DWN) and our clients are thankful for your generous donations that have made positive impacts on the survivors of Darfur genocide.
The refugees are grateful for your help that has empowered them and protected them from rape and hostile attacks while collecting firewood. They hope that you are surrounded with joy, peace, and love with your family and your friends.
Since the last progress report, on October 20, 2019, the rain has fortunately stopped. It is currently the perfect time to produce stoves. We would like to share with you an exciting news! Today, our staff in touloum camp have meeting with Economic Empowerment Group to start making 200 safe stoves to distribute them to 200 more refugee families. It is your Christmas gift to protect women and girls. Thank you so much.
The last time we communicate with the refugees was about a month ago and they told us that violence is still occurring. Approximately over 5,000 families are waiting to receive safe stoves.
The Safe Stove project was created to help protect women and girls. In addition, the Cell Phone Distribution project was created to furthermore help protect them within their villages and camps.

Please, continue to help us to protect the survivors of Darfur genocide who are residing in the camps right now.
Those who have received safe stoves use 25% of the firewood to cook for their children. Safe stoves produce no smoke and are safe to use around children. Those who produce safe stoves make money to take care of their children.
