Thanks to your support, Global Links was able to provide another donation of personal protection materials in response to requests for assistance from health authorities on the ground in Sierra Leone. We were able to prepare 12 pallets of medical supplies that were included in a large airlift that totaled over 200 pallets. All supplies arrived in Sierra Leone in early November and were reviewed for quality and then transported to a central distribution facility coordinated by the national health authorities. Distribution of materials will take place based on actual supply needs of health facilities throughout the country as Ebola rates fluctuate in outlying areas. Preliminary feedback received regarding this latest shipment from the chief medical officer noted that the protective gloves were one of the "most coveted" items by the nursing professionals working to treat Ebola patients.
Global LInks plans to continue to support health authorities as they identify the next round of materials needed. Thank you for your continued support!
