Thank you to everyone who has donated and helped with this important project. We are now just over half way to the goal!
The Ministry of Health in Sierra Leone had a follow up request for post-mortem bags and, thanks to the help of volunteers from a local financial institution, we were able to build two additional pallets with the requested post-mortem bags and plastic trash bags for proper disposal of used protective gear. A total of 7 pallets were picked up Wednesday afternoon and delivered to our partner in New York who is managing the air transport.
Thanks to some in-kind logistics and transportation support, we can now put more of the financial resources toward additional requests from the Ministry of Health. We will keep you updated as things move forward.
And just a reminder that nearly all of these still-useful materials would have ended up in landfill were it not for Global Links' unique process of recovery and reuse.
Thanks again and please share this project with friends and family. You make a world of difference with your support.
