New Year new projects.

In 2008 we continue to develop our agroforestry plantation activities and we are planting more than 2000 seedlings this year, some produced locally and about 500 bought with GlobalGiving donations. We are also starting a new “Coffee under Shade” plantation project that can be very useful for other Forest Corridors projects and planting 5.000 coffee plants. This project is in a partnership with EMBRAPA, the Brazilian Government Agricultural Research Agency. And, most important, with part of GlobalGiving donations we are starting our own donation program, donating irrigated organic vegetable gardens for poor communities and tree nurseries for local rural associations. See photo gallery for the first vegetable garden donation.

Happy New Year to all of us.
