SUSTAIN:GREEN Partnership and Bonus Offer!

By MaryGrady | Director, Business Development

Earlier this year we announced Sustain:Green as a corporate partner in the Mata no Peito initiative. Sustain:Green recently launched the Sustain:Green MasterCard, a biodegradable credit card that will offset for all card purchases through retirement of Nike offsets to benefit Mata no Peito.

Sustain:Green cardholders will have the unique opportunity to not only reduce their carbon footprint as they make everyday purchases, but will also be funding investments in Brazil forestry projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve livelihoods. In January 2015, Sustain:Green anticipates adding a prepaid card, with the same offset feature.

To celebrate the launch, Sustain:Green is offering a special bonus: For each new MasterCard issued and activated, Sustain:Green will retire 5,000 pounds of CO2, and if you use the referral code “ACR” an additional 5,000 pounds of CO2 will be retired for a total of 10,000 pounds per new card to benefit Mata no Peito. There’s no annual fee, so sign up now to get the Sustain:Green MasterCard at www.sustaingreen.com. I’ve made the commitment and hope you will too!

We thank Sustain:Green and other partners along with individuals and corporations for their continued generous support. To date we have raised over $40,000 from donors, who via retirement of carbon credits to offset their carbon footprints have removed 20 million pounds of CO2 from the atmosphere – the equivalent of taking 1,785, cars off the road for a year! All funds raised will be pooled to provide funding to projects that protect and replant forests in Brazil - improving livelihoods within forest-based communities.
