[21:49, 16/02/2021] Gladys Kiranto: For the first time Naitawang Riverside Academy has registered a higher number of boys in the class 2021 the then class 2020 before covid-19.
The above are our boys candidates for Kenya Certificate of Primary Examinations.
We as TARETO MAA ORGANISATION, did realise the need to embrace the boy child, just like the girl child for a wholistic society.
As much as their challenges are different it does affect both genders equally and hinders them from realising their full potential.
It's out humble appeal to our wel-wishers, to help us reach out to both genders as the factors hindering them from going to school cuts a cross, these include; Orphans, polygamous families, single parent families, Low income families and unemployment. As well stipulated in our page.
THANK YOU AS YOU PURPOSE TO SUPPORT AND CHANGE A LIFE.
[21:50, 16/02/2021] Gladys Kiranto: Meet Hellen, 35 years old, a single mother of 3 pretty girls.
She did join the Tareto Maa fraternity in the year 2013 up-to-date as a support staff. She's well known to many as 'mum'. The name by itself speaks volumes and volumes about her.
Hellen is a mother to many, always giving them that motherly love, advice and see them grow to be responsible girls.
Hellen couldn't pursue her education due to the maasai's rite of passage (circumcision) that did dictate that one is ready for marriage at an early age.
Tareto Maa has changed my life for the better, she said with abroad smile on her face.
I am able to feed, clothe, provide shelter and basic needs for my kids, from my salary, she added.
I feel empowered as a woman, I can't compare myself now and back then keeping in mind that I couldn't be employed that easily cause of lack of papers.
In addition, Tareto Maa has sponsored my eldest daughter which has relieved me of sleepless nights over my kids education.
I don't want them to go through what I went through, no circumcision will be performed on them and I will work diligently to see them through school for a better future, she said tears rolling down her cheeks.
Am forever grateful to all the well-wishers and sponsors through Tareto Maa, for impacting my life in a such positive way.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
Today as we wrap up 2020,we as Tareto Maa would like to acknowledge and appreciate you for your continued support in seeing the dreams of our girls come true.
It's been a journey, we have known tears and laughter. Most importantly we have grown physically, spirituality and emotionally thanks to your support.
These girls joined us in different years as stipulated in their letters.
Currently in class eight sitting for their examinations then transit to secondary schools.
We hereby plead for your support to see them through high school and higher levels of studies, without your support their dreams are shuttered as they come from vulnerable backgrounds.
We will truly appreciate whatever support you will give towards this noble course.
