Here is a story about one of our workers. Her name is Lydia.
Lydia have been a long serving worker in Tareto Man Organization. She works as a cook. Her life before getting a job at Tareto Maa was very miserable. She told us after an interview that before joining Tareto Maa she and her family used to move from one home to another searching for shelter and some hard labour to provide for their five children.
Lydia together with her husband may work for someone for a given period of time waiting for their monthly wages in vain. They may not be paid for a period that may cause them to seek for other jobs elsewhere. The trend seemed to be similar for many thought that they may not have where they can go to settle or probably get any form of assistance.
The situation was worst leading them to retain their children at home without going to school. This is when fortune came to their family after finding a job at Tareto Man. Whatever she was promised as pay, reached her promptly. A situation that brought light to the hopeless family. The children started going to school. They could afford bread on their table, clothing among other basic necessities.
Their oldest daughter was in class four primary school when she got a job at Tareto Maa. She is in form four secondary school now. The other four children are in primary school. Lydia is so thankful to Tareto Maa sponsored for their good work at charity. She built a small house using the salary she earns. She ploughs some hired farms among other things.
My opinion is that you continue supporting the project by sponsoring more girls. I also appeal to you that there is need for expansion of the project to create more job opportunities to the jobless.
Lydia is so grateful.
