The following activities were accomplished during the 3rd quarter of the project:
ü Coordination and networking meetings of Gender Responsive Action Forum (GRAF) were facilitated. Members shared their issues and problems and developed and actions plan to resolve them together.
ü To establish connections and networking, a group of 5 women members arranged meetings with the newly elected members of the parliament to share women community issues with them. Members of the parliament ensured support to the women empowerment cause.
ü GRAF members arranged 12 awareness sessions in 12 villages on the importance of girl’s education in their communities.
ü Two days training on Advocacy and Lobbying skills was conducted for 20 members of the GRAF. The GRAF members became aware of the effective tools for advocacy and lobbying and its usefulness to peruse the cause of women empowerment.
ü Project monthly progress review and planning meetings were held both in the head office and field office Lower Dir. During the meeting project progress was reviewed, challenges were discussed and an action plan was reviewed and finalized for every next month.
