Each and every day is busy at the two branches of the Edward Said Public Library in the Gaza Strip.
These libraries opened in 2019 and even through lockdowns continued to organize virtual book discussions and deliver books to children at home.
Last month, hundreds of children and youth came to the two libraries for book discussions, workshops on writing poetry, calligraphy, and English lanuage courses. And 270 people borrowed books!
One child commented "In our library, we feel very happy. Every time we go to the library, we learn new skills."
