Clinical room - a testament to care and communication

By Katherine J Gau | Director

Soon our fur will be soft and shiny
Soon our fur will be soft and shiny

The clinical room requires patience and communication skills.

Each animal undergoes a comprehensive physical examination, encompassing fleas and ticks, tapeworm, skin abnormalities, hair loss, wounds and sores, dental problems, underweight, dehydration, nasal and ocular discharges, ear mites, diarrhea, TVT, and any other conditions identified by the Veterinarian.

Plus the patience to explain and answer a whole lot of questions.

Treatments include de-worming, rabies vaccinations, 5-in-1 or 3-in-1 vaccinations, targeted therapies for billiary and manage, plus whatever else each animal needs - combined with explanation and prevention strategies.

In some cases, owners opt to switch to surgery, which we encourage as the most effective means of protecting their pet’s long-term health.

Our clinical room had three treatment tables, plus a medicine table. The team examined and treated 173 animals! (80 male dogs, 81 female dogs, 4 female cats, and 8 female cats) for an average of 57 animals per table!

This is a testament to the team’s dedication and expertise, aligned with our message that "animal care is a people issue".

On behalf of the 173 animals and their owners - thank you for your donations that helped make this happen.
