Dear Partner,

We are so grateful for your continued support, which has been instrumental in the success of HopeCore’s work. We are excited to update you on the progress of our Community Health Worker/Promoter (CHP) program for the first quarter of 2025.

One of the most exciting developments is that we have gone digital! We have rolled out a telehealth program, digitizing the training for our CHPs, which means they will have better access to resources, learning materials, and tools that will help them improve their knowledge and skills. This will ultimately allow them to serve the community more effectively and efficiently.

We are utilizing a mobile Starlink system with a portable power reservoir, which we set up in a community health facility where CHPs meet for their reporting. Here, we are creating a “HopeCore Digital Classroom” and running health training campaigns on topics like hypertension, diabetes, and more. Since the rollout, we have trained a total of 90 CHPsand our goal for 2025 is to conduct CHP training in 25 classrooms, with 25-35 CHPs in each.

Integrating telehealth into the CHP program will reduce costs and enable CHPs to consult remotely and receive real-time advice, helping them address health concerns in their communities more efficiently. Additionally, we are focused on reducing our carbon footprint with this telecommunication technology and by using a motorbike to transport the Starlink system, a more eco-friendly alternative to larger vehicles. This approach supports our commitment to combating climate change.

This is an exciting step forward, and we can’t wait to see its positive impact. With your continued support, we can train even more CHPs and improve health outcomes in the communities we serve.

A generous donation of $230 will fund the training of two CHPs for an entire year. Every donation directly empowers CHPs, ensuring they receive the education they need to promote healthcare in remote areas where traditional resources are limited.
Thank you once again for being part of this transformative program!

Best regards,
Ann Ngunjiri, Communications Officer
