Dear Partner,
I am thrilled to share the progress of our Community Health Promoters (CHPs) program during the second quarter of 2024.
Community Health Promoters (CHPs) visited 197 pregnant women, referred 83 to antenatal care, and monitored 1,600 children's growth. These efforts ensure safe pregnancies, healthy births, and optimal child development. These services facilitate access to professional medical care and early detection of malnutrition.
In Tharaka North and South, HopeCore focused on empowering our CHPs with the knowledge and skills to combat hypertension and diabetes, training 185 and 187 CHPs, respectively. We believe that these efforts will increase the early detection of hypertension and diabetes management.
HopeCore has provided support supervision to 409 CHPs. Support supervision is a process of providing guidance, training, and mentorship to CHPs. It involves HopeCores’ community health officers visiting their work areas, observing how they teach and handle community members, offering feedback, and providing feedback to enhance their skills and knowledge
HopeCore is grateful for your continued support. By empowering CHPs to become even more effective in their roles, you are leading to a healthier community for all. We invite you to visit our website, https://www.villagehopecore.org/, where you can read success stories on CHPs' interventions.
With Sincere gratitude,
Community Health Team
