Promoting Disability Inclusion in Minova Schools

By NIYONZIMA | Cordinator

The Promoting Disability Inclusion in Minova Schools project aims to create a more inclusive learning environment where every child is treated with dignity, respect, and understanding. In Minova, children with disabilities may face stigma, discrimination, and barriers to participating fully in school life. Through awareness sessions, interactive discussions, personal testimonies, and educational activities, the project seeks to challenge negative stereotypes, encourage empathy, and promote equal opportunities for all learners.

The project is currently in its preparation phase, with the identification of trainers and participating learners underway. The planned activities have not yet started, as the resources needed for implementation are still being mobilized. With a total budget of $5,750 and $0 raised so far, we are working to secure the funding necessary to begin the project and reach the targeted school communities. Contributions will support awareness sessions, educational materials, trainer involvement, and the practical implementation of activities.

Our collaboration with GlobalGiving provides an important opportunity to share this initiative with international donors and people who believe that every child deserves access to an inclusive education. We are grateful for this opportunity and remain committed to pursuing our objectives responsibly, keeping our supporters informed, and reporting honestly on the project's progress. Although our fundraising journey is still at its beginning, we believe that collective support can help turn this vision into meaningful action.

We sincerely thank GlobalGiving, our current supporters, and everyone who chooses to stand with us. We invite donors, partners, and compassionate individuals to contribute to this initiative and share our campaign with others. Every donation, regardless of its size, can help bring us closer to our goal and support a school environment where children with disabilities feel accepted, respected, and included. Together, we can help build a future where no child is left behind and every child has the opportunity to belong.
