The village radio has become a very important medium in the dessimination of information to all the communites and peoples in Boyo division. Better Family Foundation is using the Village Radio to carry out educative lessons on social issues touching the lives of mankind..
In recent times the Boyo Community Radio has been in the limelight as a meduim through which Better Family Foundation is teaching the communities on nutrition, environmental awareness and waste management, HIV/AIDS concerns and water management, peer education, gender issues amongst othjers.Such programs are always very highly interactive and draws alot of popular attention. The money raised thro0ugh Global Giving is used to for the up keep of the radio equipments and supporting the personnels who manage the affairs of the radio.
This has drawn the attention of many community members to become active listeners and participants to the radio educative programmes which are broadcasted in the national language, pidgin and English.
Despite the constant power failure and limited staff, the radio is doing a commendable job. We thank all who have been contributing to the success of this rural radio and and continue to applead to them to share the word to others.
