Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are excited to announce that Project Voice launched this summer in New Delhi! An exceptional group of twenty young Rohingya refugees convened for an intensive four-day workshop in which they studied human rights, advocacy, and research design. They completed research plans that will guide their efforts to learn more about their communities and to advocate for meaningful, grassroots change.
Our participants overcame incredible challenges to participate in the workshop. Their diligence and commitment to their community is a reminder of the critical need to include refugee leaders in the design and implementation of humanitarian interventions.
Over the coming months, participants will study child marriage, access to education, and citizenship rights – issues they have identified as crucial to creating safe spaces in which they and their families can thrive.
While we are unable to share photos, we look forward to keeping you informed as they make progress with their research.
With gratitude,
Carolyn
